Salesbricks helps SaaS teams quote, bill, and read their revenue in one place. But for Lielani Rich, the company’s Marketing Manager, the work starts before any of that — with the relationships that turn into pipeline. “Staying connected with our contacts is the heart of what I do at Salesbricks,” she says. Most of those relationships begin in a room. Salesbricks hosts its own events and gets invited to plenty of others, and those rooms are full of exactly the people the company wants to know — many of them squarely in its ICP. The hard part is everything that happens after the handshake.

I meet so many incredibly interesting people, many of whom fall within our ICP. But 80% of the time, you forget their names and your LinkedIn network becomes a black hole where things get stored but rarely revisited.

Email stopped working, so LinkedIn became the channel

For a while, email carried the follow-up. Then it didn’t. Open rates slid to the point where the team couldn’t count on them, and a missed open meant a warm contact quietly going cold. So Salesbricks moved its relationship-building to where the connections already lived. LinkedIn became the primary channel for staying top of mind — not a broadcast feed, but a place to keep real conversations going.

Email open rates have become increasingly unreliable, which pushed us to rethink how we stay top of mind. For us, LinkedIn has become one of the most effective channels for relationship-building and ongoing engagement.

Turning one network into the whole company’s network

LinkedIn only works as a channel if you can see who you actually know. Salesbricks’ first move with LeadDelta was to widen the aperture: they invited senior leadership, the sales team, and investors into one shared team workspace. That turned a set of separate, siloed networks into a single, cross-referenced map of relationships. Instead of one marketer working her own connections, the whole company’s reach — and every warm path inside it — became visible and usable in one place.

Event-hosting is one of our main motions for inbound and warm introductions. We use LeadDelta to keep prospects warm and give them visibility into what we’re building at Salesbricks.

The event loop: invite, tag, follow up, repeat

With the combined network in place, the events motion runs on a repeatable loop. Before an event, the team works the shared network to invite the right people. After it, every new contact gets captured instead of forgotten. That post-event routine is where the tags, notes, and reminders earn their keep. A new connection gets tagged by event and segment, a quick note captures the context Lielani would otherwise lose, and a reminder makes sure the follow-up actually happens. Enrichment fills in the business details, CRM sync keeps the rest of the stack current, and messaging carries the conversation forward — without leaving the network where it started. In practice, that looks like:

  • Enrich and sync so a LinkedIn connection becomes a usable record
  • Tag and segment every event contact, so no one disappears into the black hole
  • Note and remind to keep context and timing attached to each person
  • Message to follow up and stay top of mind, person by person

The point isn’t the tooling. It’s that a name Lielani would have lost in a week is now a tracked, warm relationship.

Across the motion, the team is seeing roughly 2.5x the response rates it got before, 20% higher attendance at its events, and about an hour a day back per rep that used to go into manual follow-up.

We’ve seen more connections and engagement — definitely way better than email or any other platform.

In events and warm introductions, that hour a day and that lift in replies compound: more of the right people in the room, more conversations that actually continue, and fewer relationships lost to a forgotten name. Lielani’s advice to other founders and operators is to stop treating their network as storage and start treating it as a channel.

    For me, the best browser CRM for LinkedIn The best feature is the ability to filter contacts according to numerous relevant criteria, along with the tagging and task functions. This allows you to maintain an optimal overview and communicate effectively with your network. Another highlight is the ability to unfollow or remove multiple contacts simultaneously using the filtering and batch function if they are no longer relevant. The new task function lets me set up tasks and reminders. The biggest advantage is that I have all my contact information at a glance and can use it to reach out to them.
